Workplan

The project work plan identifies and organizes the logical phases of the implementation of the project and includes consortium management, assessment of progress and results, as well as dissemination and exploitation of results. The overall strategy of the work plan is designed to carry out detailed investigations into the scientific topics identified as necessary to bring the concept beyond state of the art and reach the expected innovation objectives. To achieve the objectives in an efficient way, MEASURED has been divided into 7 work packages:

WP1 (Work package WP1 – Exploitation & Business plan) is aimed to an early business case definition, clear understanding of market barriers and needs, regulatory framework and potential risks. The final objective is to guide the project towards highly deployable results, fulfilling the needs of the target market. WP1 also sets the framework for high impact exploitation actions to promote and support future market uptake. WP1 starts in month 1 and goes through the whole project.

WP2 (Work package WP2 – Coordination) ensures an effective project management all along the project.

WP3 (Work package WP3 – Membranes development and Scale-up) will focus on the development and scale-up of the key components for the three lines (pervaporation, gas separation, membrane distillation). Special task of this WP is to also assess cross fertilization between the lines, so that membranes developed for one line will be also efficiently tested for other applications. This WP will also take care of the scale-up of these building blocks for the TRL7 demonstration.

In WP4 (Work package WP4 – Engineering and Construction) the three prototypes will be constructed for the TRL7 demonstration.

These will be fully demonstrated at industrial conditions in WP5 (Work package WP5 – Technology demonstration), the pervaporation will be tested at ARKEMA, the gas separation at ENGIE and the membrane distillation at GVS.

In WP6 (Work package WP6 – Modelling), the modelling including detailed modelling of the membranes, system modelling and LCA, LCC, s-LCA will be performed, in order to prove the viability of the developed materials and technologies, and to give insights about the further use of the technologies. The results of WP5 and WP6 will directly feed into the definition of business cases in WP1, and in the dissemination activities.

WP7 (Work package WP7 – Dissemination and communication) runs throughout the whole project, feeding from the results of previous work packages, and providing support to exploitation of project results through highly focused communication and dissemination activities.
